Roadside Help

Roadside assistance in San Diego. Often faster than a tow.

Most calls we get are not actual tows - they are a dead battery, a flat tire, an empty tank, or a locked key. A 20-minute roadside call gets you back on the road and usually saves the full tow fee. Quick Tow SD covers roadside assistance across San Diego County, including Encinitas, Escondido, Point Loma, Mira Mesa, Mission Valley, University City, El Cajon, Chula Vista, Oceanside, and every neighborhood in between. The operators we dispatch carry jump packs, spare tires, fuel cans, and lockout tools.

What do drivers ask about roadside assistance?

Do you provide roadside assistance in Encinitas, Escondido, and other San Diego neighborhoods?

Yes - Quick Tow SD covers all of San Diego County for roadside assistance, including Encinitas, Escondido, Point Loma, Mira Mesa, Mission Valley, University City, Chula Vista, National City, El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Oceanside, Carlsbad, and Vista. Call (858) 923-5787 and the operator taking the job gives you an arrival estimate for your exact location.

Will a jump start fix my car?

If the battery is the only issue, yes - usually you can drive away after 10 minutes of idle. If the alternator is bad or the battery will not hold a charge, the operator tows you to a shop instead. The call gets diagnosed before anything is recommended, so you get an answer, not a sales pitch for the tow.

Can you change a tire on the freeway?

Usually. But if the flat is on the traffic side of the vehicle on an active freeway, the safer move is a short tow off the freeway to a safe lot where the tire gets swapped. Freeway shoulders are dangerous for tire work; CHP often shuts a lane to allow it.

How much fuel do you bring?

2 gallons of gasoline or diesel minimum. That is enough to get you to the nearest station. Tanks are not filled at roadside, for pricing and safety reasons. Fuel is charged at cost plus a service surcharge, and dispatch quotes it before the truck rolls.

What if I need a tow after the roadside call?

If the roadside work does not solve it, the tow is dispatched from the same call. Ask dispatch how the roadside call and the tow are billed together before the truck rolls.
